We had a chat with the lovely guys at Hostmaker about how they’re helping people make the most out of their homes.
How do you help Airbnb users?
We make short-lets super simple. We help homeowners by taking the hassle out of managing short-term rentals: we take care of everything from the listing creation, housekeeping, pricing optimisation to in-person check-ins at guest arrival and even maintenance. Thanks to our hotel expertise, we deliver a better hospitality experience for guests compared to average Airbnb homes.
What other services do you provide?
As a full-service hospitality management company, we solve the complex logistical operation of coordinating housekeepers, fresh 5-star linen and key exchange. We further add value with our capabilities in dynamic pricing strategies, interior design, guests communication and hospitality experience that makes a Hostmaker listing on Airbnb stands out from the crowd and outperform by 20%.
Who can use Hostmaker?
Homeowners who want to earn extra money without lifting a finger. We appreciate that no two homes are the same – and have availability ranging from a few days of availability to year-long. We have helped our hosts generated over £10 million worth of bookings and we are currently serving about 5,000 guests per month.
Airbnb property management seems like a busy industry; how does hostmaker stand out?
We are the #1 short-let management service in London. We are very different from our competitors in the market as we have a team of experienced hospitality experts with over 30 years of combined experience in strategy, hotel design and guest services. We also developed our own pricing algorithm to help our hosts to optimise yield and maximise income. Our internal tech team also launched some smart tools that improve operational efficiencies and communication in order to provide better hospitality experiences for both hosts and guests. By employing our housekeepers full-time and paying them above the living wage also helps us to provide better service to guests. We are also the most-funded Airbnb management company in Europe with more than £7.5million raised and an international presence in London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona.
What’s Hostmaker looking to achieve next?
We are going to invest in strengthening our leadership position our existing markets in London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona. We are also going to further invest in our proprietary pricing algorithm and tech tools.
As Airbnb and other similar platforms continue to grow and become more commonplace, what’s the future of Hostmaker and airbnb management services? The way people are travelling has drastically changed in the last decade and hotels struggled to adapt with their 3 and 4* offerings. Going to someone else’s home to experience the life as a local is not only a trend anymore but it’s the way of travelling in the 21st century as travellers do not crave a homogenised travel experience. Discerning travellers want to experience the culture around them and feel like they have found a hidden gem. Airbnb and other short-lets platforms have a bright future and we aim to be the leading hospitality management company to support them.
